Cementing Services

Service Summary

Superior cementing units provide field-proven performance and high operational reliability across a broad spectrum of well conditions. Configured to support a wide range of slurry densities, viscosities, and additive blends, Superior’s cement pumping units and batch mixers enable precise control over mixing rates, displacement volumes, and pump pressures. These systems are equipped with automated mixing capabilities, real-time data acquisition, and pressure control features that ensure consistent slurry quality and accurate placement. Suitable for both primary and remedial cementing operations—including high-pressure/high-temperature (HPHT) wells—Superior’s equipment is designed to meet the rigorous demands of onshore and offshore applications, supporting enhanced zonal isolation, well integrity, and reduced non-productive time (NPT).

Equipments Specifications

Superior’s twin cement pumper is designed to deliver reliable, high-performance cementing operations across a range of well conditions. Each unit is powered by dual diesel engines, paired with Allison transmissions and triplex pumps, and equipped with 4½″ fluid ends for optimal fluid handling.

At the heart of the system is a state-of-the-art Automatic Density Control (ADC) mixing system, engineered to ensure consistent slurry quality and precise control throughout the job.

Key Features and Functionality

  • Automated Slurry Management: The ADC system automatically regulates the cement flow rate via a computer-controlled valve. Real-time feedback from a slurry densitometer allows the system to monitor actual density and make immediate adjustments to maintain target specifications.
  • Integrated Water Measurement: A precision water flow meter measures and transmits flow rate data to the control system, enabling accurate slurry formulation based on the desired density and job parameters.
  • Closed-Loop Control System: Using real-time data inputs—including water rate, design density, and measured density—the system calculates the optimal position of the bulk cement metering valve. A hydraulic actuator adjusts the valve position accordingly, ensuring slurry consistency and quality.
  • Real-Time Data Monitoring: The system continuously displays and records critical job metrics, including slurry density, discharge rate, total pumped volume, operating pressure, and bulk material deliverability.

Cementing Software

Cem Tool

The Cem Tool assists engineers in calculating volumes, pressures, and material requirements for cementing operations. It streamlines the design process by eliminating time-consuming manual calculations and reducing the risk of errors, thereby enhancing overall work quality and efficiency.

Cementing Model

Superior’s engineers utilize advanced software to rapidly design cementing jobs with precision. The tool features sophisticated engineering capabilities and animated flow visualization to accurately simulate cement placement. The model addresses key factors such as U-tubing effects, dynamic pressures, equivalent circulating densities (ECDs), and formation breakdown pressures, ensuring reliable and effective job planning.
